The Bread and Roses Workers’ Theater Group invites you to virtually experience their dramatization of the Boot Heel Strike, their poetry and an interactive conversation with you about accountability and change.
The Boot Heel Strike was a seminal event in civil rights history, as black and white tenant farmers stood in solidarity against the privileged white power structure of the day.
Now, more than 80 years later, the echo of the Boot Heel Strike is as resonant and relevant as ever.
Again, we connect past and current struggles as the working poor are denied the government relief they so desperately need, while the privileged gain wealth.
