Off the Clock: Arts and Activism After Hours

March 4 @ 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM CST
  • This event has passed.

Punch out, log off and join Bread and Roses Missouri for Off the Clock: Arts and Activism After Hours!  Grab your work friends for a party that features cocktails, light appetizers and guest musician

Celia, who will lead guests in a rousing and spirited protest song sing-a-long, all for the benefit of Bread and Roses Missouri.

The fun takes place at Brennan’s Work & Leisure in Midtown on Saturday, March 4 from 6:30-10 pm.  Located just a few blocks east of Saint Louis University and the Fox Theatre, Work & Leisure is a fun and non-traditional event venue offering full bar service, plenty of space and seating for raucous celebration or casual conversation, games, and a cool bocce ball stage!

The evening will be hosted by Honorary Chairs Ashli Bolden, Deputy Director at Missouri Jobs with Justice and Sukanya Mani, Community Artist. Join us as we celebrate two true champions of working people.

Founded in 2015 by labor organizer Joan Suarez, Bread and Roses Missouri celebrates the lives of workers and their families through arts and humanities events. Funds raised at Off the Clock will support our Workers’ Theatre Project, producing exciting work that elevates the voices and concerns of working class people,  and our Youth Initiative, providing quality arts instruction that also helps youth learn to be changemakers in their community.
