Playwright, musician, clown and social worker, Colin McLaughlin is Musical Director of our latest original production, Mrs. Palmer’s Honey. He previously served as Associate Artistic Director of the Workers’ Theater. As part of the Workers’ Theater Project, Bread and Roses presented his original play, Jailbird – the story of Eugene V. Debs’ presidential campaign from prison. McLaughlin’s next play, 740 Park, is a retelling of a Chilean folk song and a parable about the wealth gap. Colin has traveled to Peru with the Gesundheit Institute, a clinic/travelling circus, and has organized humanitarian clown trips to Guatemala. He received his Bachelors in Social Work from St. Louis University.
