José Guadalupe Garza was born along the US/Mexico border. He is a conceptual artist and educator working in a variety of mediums including video, photography, sculpture, installation and drawing. He has exhibited nationally and internationally including the 2017 Biennale Spazio Pubblico Roma. Garza earned a BFA in Drawing from the University of Florida, an MFA in Visual Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and is a US Navy veteran. Currently, he serves as the Museum Educator at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, is an adjunct faculty member in the Graphic Design Department at St. Charles Community College and a founding member of Monaco.
